Most of our clients have been with us for close to twenty years. AbunTech is thirteen years old. That gap isn’t an accounting error — it’s the whole story.
When I reinvented the company in 2013, the clients came with me. Nobody had to. That’s the only credential in this business I’d ask you to weigh seriously, because it’s the one that can’t be bought, borrowed, or written into a proposal.
Do you get a roadmap with names and dates on it?
Ask your current IT provider that question. Most can’t answer it, because most don’t produce one. You get a monthly invoice, a phone number, and a queue.
A roadmap means someone has decided what happens in the next eighteen months, in what order, who owns each piece, and what it costs if it slips. That’s a different job from fixing what broke this morning. It’s the job I do, and it’s the reason clients stay.
The related question — who owns technology risk in your business? — is worth asking internally. If the honest answer is nobody, that’s the gap we fill.
Who we’re a fit for
- Businesses where an hour of downtime has a number attached to it
- Medical and dental practices, legal firms, and high-value distributors and manufacturers
- Organizations carrying compliance obligations or cyber insurance requirements
- Leadership that wants someone accountable for technology risk, not just responsive to tickets
- Companies growing into a fractional CIO or CISO seat, even if they aren’t there yet
Who we’re not
- Anyone shopping for the lowest per-seat number
- Businesses that want support without strategy — there are cheaper providers for that, and they’re the right choice
- Organizations looking for a quote before a conversation
- Anyone who wants nothing to change
We take on a limited number of clients. The advisory relationship doesn’t scale past a point, and pretending otherwise is how firms end up delivering neither.

How I think about this work
I bring a builder’s discipline to technology environments. The architectural choices made early are what determine whether systems stay resilient under load or quietly accumulate fragility — and most environments accumulate, because nobody is being paid to think eighteen months ahead.
That shapes how we work. Security and compliance get engineered as enablers rather than obstacles. Migrations get planned so they don’t fracture the processes people rely on. Automation gets adopted where it removes real overhead, not where it just moves the work somewhere less visible.
I write about this regularly. If you want to know how we think before you talk to us, that’s the fastest way to find out.
Let’s find out if this is a fit
Thirty minutes. I’ll ask about your business, your exposure, and what’s actually prompting this. At the end we’ll both know whether it makes sense to keep talking.
